Mono-sodium glutamate or MSG is a salt of glutamic acid. It is widely used as a food additive or flavour enhancer in many foods. It is also available in crystal form with various brand names such as ajinomoto and vestin. It is identified as E621 in food labels.
Many experts believe that eating foods that contain msg can cause many side effects including msg symptom complex, migrain and asthma.
